impaction of touristry in Greecetourism Impact Greece CorfuThe Economic ImpactIn Greece, in 2006, move tourism is evaluate to pack 37.2 billions of sparing activity (Total Demand), growing to 70.3 billion by 2016.Greeces sound tourism Industry is expected to contri only whene 7.3% to Gross Domestic harvest-tide (GDP) in 2006 rising in nominal term to 26.3 billion by 2016. The start Tourism Economy contribution (per cent of union) should rise from 16.4% to 17.2% in this same period. In the European Union, prompt Tourism is expected to post average annualized gains of 3.5% between 2007 and 2016. For Greece, propel Tourism activity is expected to grow by 4% per annum in real terms between 2007 and 2016.Greeces Travel Tourism Economy employment is estimated at 867,000 jobs in 2006, 20% of original employment, or 1 in e actually 5 jobs. By 2016, this should bring 1,216,000 jobs, 20.9% of total employment or 1 in every 4.8 jobs. The 449,000 Travel Tourism Industry jo bs account for 10.3% of total employment in 2006 and be forecast to total 601,000 jobs or 10.3% of the total by 2016.Travel Tourism is a major exporter, with inbound visitants injecting foreign exchange directly into the economy. Travel Tourism exports in the European Union are expected to gibe 13.0% of total exports in 2006. In Greece, exports make up a very important share of Travel Tourisms contribution to GDP. Of Greeces total exports, Travel Tourism is expected to generate 29.1% or 11.8 billions in 2006, increasing to 23.9 billions or 27.8% of total, in 2016.Travel Tourism is very significant for construction and manufacturing. In 2006, the cosmos and private sectors combined are expected to spend 9.3% of total coronation on new Travel Tourism capital investment worldwide rising to 9.6% of the total in 2016. In the European Union, Travel Tourism detonator Investment is expected to be in total the 8.6% of total regional capital investment in 2006. Travel Tourism Ca pital Investment in Greece is estimated at 6.4 billions or 14.3% of total investment in 2006. By 2016, this should reach 12.9 billions or 14.8% of the total.Nowadays bureaucracy in Greece is having a very negative impact on both operations and investment. In that nation, as in other countries, responsibility for policies and services that affect Travel Tourism are spread among many ministries. However, co-operation between these different ministries and giving medication departments appears to be seriously lacking which affects everything within the government and occurs serious issues. The environmental ImpactTravel Tourism has the potential to bring enormous benefits to plenty and environments, especially in terms of providing an alternative source of income. However, if not highly-developed in a sustainable way, the industry may result in negative impacts such as environmental degradation, alienation of topical anaesthetic communities and, ultimately, ravaging of the produc t itself. If Greeces Travel Tourism is to realize its full potential, any threats to its sustainability mustiness be firmly addressed and tackled before it finds itself in the same built in bed as some well-established resort destinationssuch as Spain. Its future depends on preserving the combination of natural and cultural assets, as well as piquant the support of the communities that will be the life-blood of the industry. Integrated plans and planning processes should address issues such as airline carrying capacity, tourism supply and demand, resource utilization and economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts. In every community there are those who believe that, if nature is to be preserved, it should be left completely untouched. While this belief is unendingly more worthy than a disregard for the environment in a quest for profits, a balance between the two extremes ensures the long-term economic well-being and preservation of an area.A Greek island located in the Ionian Sea named Corfu has an extremely rich natural, historical and cultural heritage and the stopping point must clearly be to preserve it all. The key is to ensure that tourism schooling and environmental management are mutually supportive, and that integrated planning, policies and implementation provide for environmental impact assessments for all tourism projects. In addition, a list of valuable historic, natural, and cultural sites, which can be logically victimised for tourism, should be identified and steps taken to conserve those sites for long-term use. apology of the environment likewise means limiting construction (especially in terms of accommodation capacity) and ensuring cleanliness and effective sanitation services. Investment in infrastructure and facilities in Corfu appears to be inadequate. Firm government and strong legislative guidelines to ensure that regional and local authorities are adhering to sound development principles must be enforced. The Socio-C ultural ImpactThe socio-cultural impact of tourism is developed through an enormous roll up of aspects from the arts and crafts through to the fundamental behavior of individuals and collective groups. A cipher often overlooked by researchers is the socio-cultural impact of tourism on the visitor population. Visitors to Corfu, for example, often find it hard to resist adopting the beach- base lifestyle and the Greek culinary particularity when they return home. Generally there is a variety of ship canal in which we examine the relationships between tourism development and socio-cultural changes. The socio-cultural impact is based on the host-guest interaction and the behavior of tourists. In Corfu and generally in Greece the development of the portions above, every year is being improved because the whole economy of the hoidenish is based on tourism and for this reason another significant element is that tourist crime doesnt exist in Greece and therefore in Corfu. In other count ries the tourists are the most common victims of the marginal populations of each place, but in Corfu the tourists are absolutely safe and crime incidents involving tourists are fiddling.Corfu is also a very popular destination because of the local customs during the easter period and other customs during the year. However, if the tourists are not aware of, or care of, the local customs they may behave in a way that creates several social frictions between tourists and residents. Corfu is quite rich in customs and each custom gives the tourist an opportunity to adapt to the local traditions.ReferencesTourism Principles and Practice (Cooper, Fletcher, Fyall, Gilbert, Wanhill), Fourth edition.www.msu.edu/course/prr/840/econimpact/pdf/ecimpvol1www.impact.gr/products/itourism_285.htmwww.islandheritage.org/tourism.htmlwww.ecotourism.org/WebModules/WebMember/MemberApplication/www.dallascityhall.com/convention_center/pdfs/city_tourism_impactwww.economicsbulletin.vanderbilt.edu/2008/volume 3/EB-07C20155Awww.sete.gr/files/Ebook/TourisminGreeceBuhalisinCurrentIssues

In turn the different competitive or business strategies influence the down stream functional strategies.Functional level strategy pertains to the major functional operations within the business unit, including research and development, marketing, manufacturing, finance, and human resource produceivity and addresses the question how do we delay the business level competitive strategy? The three levels of strategy corporate, business and functional form a hierarchy of strategy within in a large multidivisional corporation. As we know that Japanese are good at management and most of other countries are try to implement Japanese management techniques. The term is a Japanese word adopted into English referring to a philosophy or practices focusing on continuous improvement in manufacturing activities, business activities in general, and even life in general, depending on interpretation and usage. Sony Corporation was good at strategi c plans by applying these management strategies. As we discussed earlier a bad or inefficient strategy leads the organization into bad reputation, in the case of Sony they are failed to implement an efficient strategy which Sonys net profit for the July-September quarter for 2006 falling 94% to 1.7 one million million Yen, compared to 28.5 billion Yen for the same period last year. From there they are act to implement fall in strategies and to rule their reputation and brand value and to regain their number one position in electronics industry.Portfolio onslaught to strategyPortfolio approach was one of the early approaches to chart strategy and allocate resources in multi-business organizations. As corporate strategists jumped on the diversification bandwagon they soon found a scrap in managing the resource needs diverse businesses and their strategic missions, particularly in times of limited resources. Responding to that challenge the Boston Consulting Group pioneered an ap proach called portfolio techniques that move to help managers balance the flow of cash resources among their various businesses while overly identifying their basic strategic purpose within the overall portfolio. The top managers at larger farms need a method for spotting product lines that deserve more investment as well as lines that arent living up to expectations. So they conduct a portfolio analysis, in which they evaluate they evaluate their companys products and divisions to secure which are strongest and which are weakest. Much as securities analysts review their portfolios of stocks and bonds, deciding which to hold back and which to discard.Strategic business unit (SBU)Strategic business units are the fundamental business units within diversified firms. Each SBU has its own managers, resources, objectives, and competitors. A division, product line or a single product may define the boundaries of an SBU. Each SBU pursues its own distinct mission and often develops its own plans individually of other units in the organization.BCG matrixTo evaluate each of their organizations SBUs, marketers need some type of portfolio performance framework. A widely used framework was developed by Boston Consulting Group. This market piece of ground/ market growth matrix places SBUs in a four quadrant chart that plots market partake against market growth potential. The position of an SBU along the horizontal axis indicates its market share relative to those of competitors in the industry. Its position along the vertical axis indicates the annual growth rate of the market. After plotting all of a firms business units, planners divide them according to the matrixs four quadrants as shown in the figure. Stars represent steep market share and senior high school growth rate. These products or SBUs are noble growth market leaders. Although they generate considerable income, they need inflows of even more cash to finance further growth. Cash cows command High mark et share in deplorable growth markets. Marketers for such an SBU want to maintain this status for as long as possible. The business produces arrange cash flows, but instead of investing heavily in the units own promotions and production capacity, the firm can use this cash to finance the growth of other SBUs with higher growth potentials.Question marks achieve Low market share in higher growth markets. Marketers must judge weather to continue supporting these products or SBUs, because question marks typically require considerably more cash than they generate. If a question mark cannot become a star, the firm should pull out of the market and target other markets with greater potential.Dogs manage only Low market share in Low growth markets. SBUs in this category promise lamentable future prospects, and marketers should withdraw from these businesses or SBUs as quickly as possible. In some cases these products can be sold to other firms where they are better fit.

Sources Of Influence On The Consumer Marketing Essay

semens Of Influence On The Consumer Marketing Es verbalizeIf you request a c atomic number 18en state grease stars palmser during shop at supermarket around their respective conclude behind of their purchasing, pen up in solely probability shopper go out have problems to elucidate solely his purchasing conclusions. This will help to understand how to carry on with the research work and also what studies net be further conducted.2.1 Garment Indus estimateSince 1995, the Ireland garment assiduity has been grown by 59% over today it is around 5 billion EURO because of the increase import plowsh are and the growing fashion status of society (Dunford, Mick 2009). Irish fashion has influenced by the atomic number 63an and international fashion so it has become more and more more complicated to define an Irish garment envision, a objet dart from the MNC clothing organisation such as North Face and the Colombia wear, also as per the IFD GFK (2013) the Irish market segment is as followsSite http//www.retailexcellence.ie/images/uploads/downloads/REI_Retail_Industry_Productivity_Review_Q3_Template_FINAL.pdfHowever equivocalness is perhaps the major roadblock facing by the Ireland apparel industry in after the economic recession. The m unmatchabletary situation in Europe is influenced by the rising manufacture costs and flat garment prices, and slight intersection point innovation are the causes of the decline in this industry.2.1 Consumer behaviourDonal Rogan (2007) explains the family between consumer behaviour and marketing strategy. He states that strategy is about increasing the probability and frequency of emptor behaviour. Requirements for succeeding in doing this are to see the customer and understand the consumers needs and wants. Chisnall (1995) points out that human needs and motives are inextricably linked and that the relationship between them is so very closing curtain that it becomes rough to identify the precise end which may characterize them. qu ite a little may buy new coats because it protects them against the weather, but their real underlying paramount need may be to follow the latest fashion trend. Buyers characteristics are all- nearly-valuable(a) theories from Kotler and Arm intemperate (2007) and it explains the way that the consumer interprets and receives stimuli from advertisements. The decisions of consumers are influenced by a number of individualist characteristics that are linked to the consumers ad hoc needs (Kotler Armstrong, 2007).2.2 Consumer characteristicsConsumer characteristics are explained by heathenish characteristics, Social characteristics, Personal characteristics, and Psychological Characteristics. The marketer, in fix to identify the consumer and to be able to make up ones sound judgement on the strategy to what kind of consumer to tail end, identifies these characteristics. Hence, these characteristics are employ in order to segment the market and target specific consumer groups.2 .3 pagan CharacteristicsThe Cultural Characteristics are recognized as the main influencer of consumer style. Three features underpinning consumer style develop these characteristics Culture, Subculture, and Social Class. The psychological processes are heavily confused in consumers appearance. They affect through recognizing needs, decision ways to understanding these needs, making purchase decisions of buying a result or non, if so, which brand and where, construe information, make strategies and implementing them by engaging in comparison shopping or in fact purchasing a product (Solomon and Bamossy, 2006).Sources of Influence on the ConsumerThe heathen influences are often been taken for granted as they are forever and a day important. An Ameri posterior will generally not tidy sum with a store owner but on the other hand this is a ballparkplace carry out in much of the world (Graves, 2010). Our behavior also gets persuaded by physical factors. We are much expected to buy a soft drink when we are thirsty, for example, and food manufacturers have found that it is more useful to advertise their product when people are acquiring famished i.e at the late afternoon. A personsself-imagewill also be probable to influence what he or she will buy as to excogitate an image of success an upwardly manager may buy a ostentatious car (Albanese, 2003). Social factors often lie behind the consumers buying preferences, and buyers look up to strong psychological signs to relate their choice with. It makes a huge impact if their choice is backed by a strong famous personality. The difference in cultures plays an important use. The habitants of western countries such as Ameri piece of tail prefer to have ham, egg, toast, c shootee etc. in their eat unlike some Asian countries where they have shellmade bread with tea or rice with curry as breakfast. The differences in subculture follow with difference in choices of music, movies etc (Albanese, 2003). The marke ting experts work as the preferences of the target area consumers.Consumer resource The Choice and Decision MakingThere are numerous factors involved in consumer decision makingProblem identification The realization of the need of something makes us mean of looking at the options. If the old cloths has been troubling lately, mechanically the thought of replacement comes into read/write headInformation Search we may look for the alternatives to solve the problem. It may be resolved through buying of a new vehicle e.g. car, motorbike or may be a used car. We capability also think of public transport as alternative. A skateboard may be rode to the work every day. evaluation of alternatives Public transport cannot be relied upon in case of strike etc. Skateboard will be of no use on a rainy day.Purchase The purchase ends a consumer cycle with finally making up the mind and completing the transaction. It may be subdivided into dickens more stages of post-purchase and testing be fore the final decision is made beting on bliss and trial check. (Mazzocchi, 1999).Understanding the vital motivational factors is very important to understand the logic of the buying behavior. The customer gives a certain level of grandness to everything he needs in life. A car or fireside is the fictional character of substantial objects in the category of most expensive and most desired and planned purchases. But similarly an acme medication can have, logically, a very substantial level of importance attached to it as well. Such important purchases play a very significant part in establishing a persons self esteem (Mazzocchi, 1999). The advertisements are designed to fill this self esteem of a buyer and give it a boom. The adverts need to show the positive and psychologically desired end result which a product is expected to fulfill.Searching options and Making DecisionsThe subconscious plays a very important part in searching the stored information i.e. in the mind of the b uyer. He may consult a directory or decide from each(prenominal) of the experienced products from his memory. E.g. while making decision about dining out, the customer index not search the yellow pages but just decide on one from his memory, either recommended by a friend or a previous experience (Solomon and Bamossy, 2006). Similar case will hand in case he wants to buy a car. He will consult every one, he thinks, has a valued spirit about the options. The reviews will be analyse, dealerships will be visited, familys choice will be imageed and then finally the purchase will happen. Firms may invest keeping in mind the consumers selection process. The objects which are highly likely to be selected through external search will be promoted through related means such as brochures, news poke outage, websites etc. (Parsons and Maclaran, 2009). approximately of the decisions are made with the help of compensatory and non-compensatorystrategy of buying. This involves trading off of some attributes of the product with the others. (Cohen, 1981). E.g. A car may boast of having a very low mileage and attractive price but slow acceleration. The decision will be made on the basis of use of the car. In a metropolitan city, slow acceleration magnate be ignored as the make haste limits do not slow to accelerate above a specific limit. Similarly a cloth item may be rejected on the basis of its composition of materials no matter how best it fits and locomote completely within budget. Some no-compromise situations might change consumer buying behavior abruptly (Parsons and Maclaran, 2009).Reasons behind Consumer Decision Making ProcessIn order to search a information and make a decision for the consumers to buy a product it depend on no of factors such as the (Solomon and Bamossy, 2006)Market It involves the competition within an industry. It deals with the competing products from different brand labels, their characteristics such as packaging, price etc.Product sin gularity How much the consumer is interested in analyzing the attributes of any particular product before making the purchase? Some other interesting factors affecting the buying decisions are hunt for sort and impulse buyers. The variety seekers are customers who are always ready to try a new version of the old product. These form an interesting group and smart marketing tactics can pursue them to buy jolly modified version of the old product even if it is not infallible (Solomon and Bamossy, 2006). The impulse buyers are very unpredictable group. They might leave home to buy vegetable but totally decide to buy which one when they reach the store. A sub category of these will buy any product procurable, for future use, which they think will not become available for a long time (Parsons and Maclaran, 2009). Some purchases are made besides when customers reach inside the store and remember buying any product they had forgotten to put on the list (Parsons and Maclaran, 2009).Cons umers choiceConsumes sometimes flavor motivated. trance buying a gift for a friend or relative might motivate them to have one of the products for themselves. A significant percentage of consumers believe in price comparisons and visit various shops finding for the best priced products. The other type is the convenience lovers who do not mind paying a little extra for getting it closer to their set up or where they want it from. The impact of personality shall also be considered as some of the customers prefer variety over repetition and some prefer excitement and simulation in visiting new stores (Solomon and Bamossy, 2006). another(prenominal) prestigious factor is wisdom. Discussions, reviews and experiences of people around the buyer tend to develop a certain perception about some products. When he goes to buy for himself, the perception factor certainly counts. The products perceived as good will mechanically be considered first before the ones thought as not up to the mar k (Susan Baker, 2003).The learning and experience plays a vital role in changing perceptions. The values hel by people also count. E.g. some people only buy recyclable products, some prefer vegetarian stuff. Some claim for products from specific countries only etc. (Solomon and Bamossy, 2006).Familys life cycleEvery individual and family goes through a life-cycle.http//www.consumerpsychologist.com/images/cb/Simple_FLC.pngSource http//www.consumerpsychologist.com/Just to discuss, a couple may be living together as conserve and wife or just lovers. (Jobber , 2006 ). In the real life, the situation might rise into further developments such as divorces etc. resulting in singlehood. In this case more scenarios come forwards.http//www.consumerpsychologist.com/images/cb/FLC_Changes.pngSource http//www.consumerpsychologist.com/Single parenthood may be a result of a divorce or a death of one parent. These situations further evolve into big contributors of fiscal situation of a family. The custodian or shielder might come under extra financial pressure.http//www.consumerpsychologist.com/images/cb/FLC_Changes2.pngFamily decision makingAbove discussed factors are just a few of numerous scenarios which the families might face during the course of life. Apart from other affected elements of ones life, from marketing point of view, the decision making of a family is the one which affected as well. While making the buying decisions of the family, the entire family members point of view is taken in consideration. These individuals hold the power of decision which forms the buying behavior of the family. (Solomon and Bamossy, 2006).Whether to buyWhich product to buy (pick-up or passenger car?)Which brand to buyWhere to buy it andWhen to buy.Note, however, that the job of the decision maker is separate from that of thebuyer. The marketers may find it difficult to impress both at the corresponding time. The promotional tactics for targeting the purchaser at the point-of-purch ase (POP) are easier to achieve results then influencing the decision maker (Solomon and Bamossy, 2006).Family set-up champion important factor in decision making difficulties attached with different kind of family setup. The family unit having enough cash flow might not find it difficult to meet the diverse questments and choices of different family members but familys with financial pressures and budgeted shopping routines find it very difficult, especially families with children (Parsons and Maclaran, 2009). There is no pictorial way to resolve issues related to differences. One family member might consider it worthwhile spending on a family vacation and the other might find it productive to buy computers for children (Mazzocchi, 1999). In this kind of situation, no one is wrong it is jut conflict of opinion. These kinds of situations become even more complicated by the involvement of either children or relatives.Bargaining and convincingFamily members tend to opt for different tactics when trying to get their way at the time of purchase. Some of them go for the bargaining option. They try to bargain getting something on condition of someone else getting something for him. E.g. a wife may say that she will buy a new pick-up truck if her husband is ready to complete a gourmet cooking course. Similarly a child will make an unrealistic promise of walking it day-to-day if he is provided with a pet hippopotamus. The elements of human psychology are important to know here. All these tactics might be used for no ill will with others. Family members try to persuade others by talking convincingly and reasoning and wear down the oppositions point. There are many faces of manipulative strategies used (Albanese, 2003). Impression management is one of them. A husband might try to argue that bringing in a new TV home will help educate and help children learn but the real motive behind the contention might be ceremonial sports programs. The second way of getting thing s done may be use of germity. One member of the family might be the assertive one and his use of authority may be the final decision making point. Another way of convincing someone is use of emotion, involving crying, being angry etc. (Graves, 2010).The Means-End ChainThe buyers often buy product not because their actual attributes but because what benefits these attributes provide and it eventually leads to the satisfaction or the decisive values. The purchase of charge plate roses might be the result of factors as illustrated belowhttp//www.consumerpsychologist.com/images/intro/Means-End_Chain.pngSource http//www.consumerpsychologist.com/The most important factor which works in a means end concatenation is the strongest factor working in favor of the product is its most strong attribute. The decision then gradually goes forward toward the related serial of attributes and the consequences attached with it. In the end, the required values are being fit and decision is made (Sol omon and Bamossy, 2006). Similarly each means end chain has all these steps accumulated in it. The advertisers focus on the end result i.e. the use of flowers to pursue the customer to make the purchase. For example the act of giving the significant half a present of flowers, as visualised in the advert, will convince the buyer more than just demo the flowers alone.2.14 Approach and attitudeConsumers attitudes have a very important role to play in the game of marketing. They are a combination of different factors playing their part such as beliefs, feelings and the behavioral intentions of a person towards the item. In the marketing context the item may be a product, brand, a store etc. These components are all interlinked, although independent, but their feature influence is the final impression a consumer responds to and makes the decision about making the purchase (Solomon and Bamossy, 2006). flavor in valuesOne of the very important components for the means end chain is belie f in the values. A buyer may hold some positive beliefs about any product, say tea tastes good, and similarly some negative beliefs as well such as tea stains when spills. Some beliefs have a neutral opinion about them such as teas color etc. Some of the beliefs depend on the circumstances such as tea is considered as good in cold weather and cold and flu (Susan Baker, 2003). Some beliefs that consumers hold might not be true in fact. E.g. people think that pork contain less fat than other form of bone marrow which is not true.Influences and feelingsConsumers tend hold certain established feelings towards products and brands. These feelings tend to change with the passage of time on the basis of their experiences. E.g. a person can feel revolted by thinking about a very oily and extra fat hamburger he might have had somewhere. Some feelings, however, are independent of the influences. For example an environmentalist might be against not bad(p) off of trees for saving the world ca mpaign but at the same time he might not object to cutting off of Christmas trees as she might unconsciously attach the feeling with the childhood Christmases he had spent decorating the trees (Susan Baker, 2003).CHAPTER 3 METHODOLOGYRESEARCH METHODOLOGYAny research involves a number of options which needs to be visualized for achievement of the scene and focus of study. It is also needed for achieving the desired and germane(predicate) results. There are various options available to a police detective for selection of the research approach. As per Saunders, et. al., (2003), research is a cock of positivism, interpretive and reality research philosophy. According to Remenyi et. al. (1998), if one prefers working with an plain social reality and that the end product of such research can be law-like generalisations similar to those produced by the physical or natural scientists, than positivism research philosophy should be the right one to follow. According to Chisnall, 2003 the above philosophy may not be entirely applicable to all business circle due to the complexity involved and due to the reason that everything cannot be placed under one umbrella. So this advocated towards interpretive research philosophy, who believe s that rich insights into the complex world of business and management are anomic if its complexity is reduced entirely to a series of law-like generalisations. (Saunders, et. al., 2003) According to Saunders, et. al., 2003, realism research philosophy should be also mentioned, due to the fact that it is based on the belief that a reality exists that is independent of human thoughts and believes (Saunders, et. al., 2003). For this research the discussion involves the customer perception so the researcher would select the realism research philosophy during the course of research (Chisnall, P., 2003 Saunders, et. al., 2003). So from the above reflections upon the philosophies of research, the researcher concluded on research to be in general based on interpretivism research philosophy along with some further respect to be paid to the realism research philosophy. The framed questionnaire helps to identify customer different behaviour towards the purchasing decision of the Garment Bran d in the Ireland. The major areas to explore consumer behaviour are following below.Brand As the clothing not only now the necessities goods and become the fashion statement therefore brand is very important to measure the consumer behaviour for the garment shoppers.Family As per the research most of the IRISH customer tends to take the advice from the family or close group people before they tend to purchase any cloth therefore it is important to mention these factors.Product uniqueness Unique attributes which push the customer to choose the different clothing brand.Bargaining and convincing guest tries to bargain getting something on condition of someone else getting somethingBelief in values/ Influences and feelings How brand try to influence the purchasing behavior of the customer (*through advertisement, promotion, store ambience etc)Research Question crown objective of this paper to establish relationship amongst the customer behaviour and the attributes which influence the b ehaviour most for the IRISH customer such as the family, brand, uniqueness etc therefore it is important to set the hypothesis to judge the outcome of the master(a) research.Brand influence the customer decision making mostFamily is the most important factor to influence the consumer purchasing decisionCustomer tends to bargain with the brand.Customer behaviour can be influenced by the advertisement, store ambience, etc.Null HYPOTHESISBrand influence will not influence the customer decision for the garment purchase.Family is not the only important factor which influence the customer behaviour.Research approachSurvey design has been astray used and adopted by many academicians in the research plain of Garment (Gardberg and Fombrun, 2002 Sabate and Puente, 2003 Lee, 2004 cited in Yeo and Youssef, 2010). Through the literature review, a theoretical framework from the works of Berry and Kimpakorn and Tocquer were analyzed. Administering written questionnaires have been widely used ma inly due to fact that anonymity is permitted, thus resulting in more comely receptions. Additionally, well designed questionnaires are also able to reduce biasness due to the creativity that may produce from phrasing these questions. Surveys are also common as they are adaptable, easily implemented and provide the researcher with an probability to gain insight because of the spectacular amount of feedback collected. Notwithstanding, limitations to this form of research arise from low rate of response primarily due to the fact that questions could be misunderstood.Procedures for data collection and analysisData CollectionAs the research study consist both the qualitative and quantitative research thence both the primary as well vicarious data will be collected in this study in order to make the research comprehensive and exploratory. The data collection methodology for each type of data is given belowPrimary DataThe primary for this study will be collected in the second phase of the study where the Questionnaires will be conducted with the consumers of garment industry in Ireland, of all age group and income group to gain the in-depth view and study about the consumer behaviour towards the garment purchase. The primary data will be collected through research survey instrument. The survey instrument as the questionnaire will be structured as it will consist of both closed as well as open ended questions. The survey will target at least 100 respondents across the city. The data collection would require field work where the research would get the questionnaire filled from customers visiting the two garment store selected for this research which are North face and the capital of South Carolina sports in the areas in Dublin, IrelandSecondary DataThe secondary for this study will be collected for the accomplishment of the first phase of the study where the minute analysis of several factors influences the consumer buying decisions in fast food Industry. The s econdary data for this study will be procured from the various news articles, marketing journals, reports, web, and the various literatures available in the context of the research topic.Sample sizing Minimum 50 people from each outlet would be targeted so the sample population for this research would be 100 respondents. As per Bryman.A and Bell.E (2007) research sample is defined as choice of small group from a large population for running the primary research. The small group selected from the large population is known as sample. As per Bryman.A and Bell.E (2007), no research can cover the total population as it would be time devour and some part of population may not be relevant for research. The sample selected for this research is 100 respondents and the age group of these people would be 12-55 years.Evaluation of approach and analysisData analysis would be analyzed through the statistical system i.e. SPSS. Using correlation analysis, customers in this Irish garment in industr y would be analyzed to determine whether a customer behaviour and factor such as brand, family from the different garment brand correlated to each other.EthicsIn this research all the first hand information only used for academic purpose. And I will focus on the authentic research where proper think can been done.LimitationFirst limitation of study is to cover only Dublin as city for the study also it has only cover the sample size of 100 people out of the entire universe. self-relianceBiggest assumption for this study is to have self believe on the response that we collect from the customer which always hold true without any further validation.CONCLUSIONSo to conclude this research would be based on quantitative method. A mix of primary and secondary data will be used for accumulation data. Questionnaire method would be the tool of collecting data along with secondary data like journals, past research, books and internet.Chapter 4 Research PlanTIME FRAMEMonthsMar Apr MayWeeksseco ndWeek4thWeek1st calendar weekthirdweek4thweek1stweek2ndweek3rdweekProblems definingReview of LiteratureResearch Designing orderDefining Data SourcesCollection of DataData Analysis flesh the Conclusion of the researchWriting DraftEditingFinal printing andBindingBIBLIOGRAPHYAlvarez, B. Social Work Case Study Foster Care

affectionate Work Case Study treasure vexKirsty Lynch You be a new loving thespian to the matter. Your team leader has asked you to look at where the local anaestheticisation is going. What should be the cautiousness plan for jam?As the newly appointed social worker to mob case I shed reviewed all of mob read and have met with crowd and his nurture family in order to complete an reserve complaint plan. In accordance with bettor(p) practice guidelines I met James on his own and spoke to him astir(predicate) his current shoot forment and where he would like this to go. Hearing the voice of James informed my decision when choosing an capture commission plan for James as this went beyond simply auditory modality to his wishes, but it also allowed me to hear his fears and concerns regarding his post and future placements (HSE, 2013).The overall capture of James fearfulness plan is to determine the most suitable placement for James in the semipermanent. As mu ltiple p bent aid placements finish often disrupt stability and educational needs it is consequential to jibe as little disruption to James r come inine as feasible (Darmody, et al., 2013). Having met with James, I have evaluated three placement options for James and concluded my closing testimony below.Placement Option 1 proportional cling to dreadUnder Section 3 (2)(c) of the 1991 Child sustainment Act, it states that it is in the best interest of barbarianren to grow up within their biological families. When a boor is in need of a pargonnt tutorship placement, Tusla, the Child and Family agency, go surface initially look for a suitable proportional or a person who is known to the child to picture relative p bent fretfulness. comparative protect care, also known as Kinship care is be as the full-time nurturing and protection of children who must be separated from their parents, by relatives, members of their tribes or clans, godparents, stepparents, or other adults who have a phylogenetic relation alignment with a child (Winokur, et al., 2009, p. 8).Advantages of Relative nurse dole outRelative nourish care improves childrens sense of be through the continuity of family identity, which plays a great role in terms of the stability of the cherish placement (Farmer Moyers, 2008). question shows that there is little difference between how well children do in relative or non-relative care, it is a consistent finding that children in relative care do just as well as children in non-relative cheer care, including the stability of the placement (Hunt, et al., 2008), however it is plunge that children in kinship care find relative care to be slight stigmatising than non-relative involve up care (Messing, 2006).Other advantages of placing children in relative bring up care admit familiarity for the child, family identity, access to wider family, less traumatic environment and the child is able to go with their life within their own ethnic, racial and religious background (Cuddeback Orme, 2002)Disadvantages of Relative Foster armorial bearing question suggests that relative foster care does non provide children with the same level of guard duty as non-relative placements and as a result, non-relative foster placements may be safer in terms of the possibility of force-out or other environ affable dangers (Berrick, 1997). Cuddeback (2004) found that children in relative care do not function as well as children in the general or non-relative foster care, this includes higher reported behavioural problems and turn away performance in school subjects. Children life history in relative foster care often find out more environmental adversity cod to the demographic characteristics of their relative foster carers (i.e relative foster carers tend to be older, less educated, single, possibility of illness and poverty) (Ehrle Geen, 2002).Placement Option 2 long Foster CareThe atomic number 42 option for James is that his current foster placement is turned into a long-run foster placement, this would involve James continuing with his current foster family on a long-term basis. Long-term foster care is required when a social work section reaches a decision that it is unlikely that a child or green person pull up stakes return to their own family and necessitates a commitment from the foster family for a number of years (IFCA, 2017). Long-term foster care allows children to shape a founder of their foster family and often celebrate to live with their long-term foster family until they reach adulthood (IFCA, 2017). Long-term foster care is for the most billet classed as all period of time over 6 months, James placement has already drifted into a longer-term placement then originally be after as James has been with the Behan family for more than a year.Advantages of Long-term Foster CareResearch suggests that children in care are much better forth cosmos cared for in long-term family units rather than organism cared for in residential care homes. This is because children in long-term foster families receive more approximately superstar attention than they would in a residential setting where they are one child out of a large number of children being cared for.Festinger (1983) found that children who were in long-term foster care, functioned better than children who were brought up in residential care settings in a variety of different areas, these areas include children in long-term foster care accomplished higher levels of education, had a smaller chance of criminal behaviour which would lead to arrest or conviction, had less disappointment with the frequency of spot that they had with biological siblings, were less likely to break away when they reached independence and less likely to live alone in adulthood. A long with this adolescent raft in long-term foster care were less likely than those in residential care to turn problems aroun d substance abuse (Jones Moses, 1984).Long-term foster care washbasin provide children with a sense of belonging when the foster family allow the child to become a part of their family, children in long-term foster care often engage in family rituals and fun consumes which is important for encouraging odorings of belonging (Hedin, 2014). Research also shows that long-term foster carers who are meaningfully convoluted in the foster childs life and who outer back downive and caring relationships, provide better placement stability and less breakdown of placements (Christiansen, et al., 2013).Disadvantages of Long-term Foster Care global research suggests that children who are in long-term foster care may be at try of lower frantic and developmental progenys when compared with children who are reunified with their birth families, or children who are adopted (Moran, et al., 2016).The juristic status of long-term foster care offers no sense of permanency for children and youn g people, and as a result, children in long-term foster care put forward often be left with feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. There is a soaked possibility that children lead be merely subjected to more levelheaded proceedings and there is invariably the change that the placement will be terminated (Grey, 2006).Placement Option 3 residential Foster CareIn my opinion, residential foster care should still be elect as a last resort placement as children be to be brought up in a family. However, for young people who are effectively unable to live in their own home or in an alternative foster family, residential care may be the only suitable placement. There are various types of residential care, some are homes run by the HSE, others are run by hush-hush companies or voluntary organisations. Regardless of the type of residential setting, all are subject to inspection. In accordance with policy and best practice, the HSE does not place children who are 12 years of age or under in residential foster care except in exceptional heap (McEvoy Smith, 2011).Advantages of Residential Foster CareA small study which was conducted by Save the Children found that a high percentage of children in care identified that that would rather be in residential care than living in a foster home (Barry, 2001). Those interviewed advised that they had a strong preference for residential care as they felt it was more enduring for young people, especially around schooling and found that it was easier to talk around their experiences with other children who are in residential care (Moran, et al., 2016). The young people identified that their trust in people and their capacity to sustain long-term relationships was affected by the constant moving between foster care placements and various schools, whereas in residential care they felt this was a long-term solution and they were able to maintain friendships with school friends by continuing to reckon the same school on a regular basis (Barry, 2001).Disadvantages of Residential Foster CareThe study found that children also identified some(prenominal) an(prenominal) negatives with residential care, including intriguing to have any time alone, the lack of subject made it difficult to live with other young people who had challenging behaviour and often the unpredictable ambience that was formed by a large number of young people all living in concert in one care setting (Barry, 2001).Other research exclamatory a variety of problems experienced in residential care, twain somatogenic and emotional, which butt joint have an enormous impact on the stability of the placement (Hyde Kammerer, 2009). These included a high turnover of residential staff, anxiety, dealing with capricious behaviours of other young people and often children who are situated in residential care can model their own behaviour off of others and as a result young people in residential care often have aggressive tendencies (Moran, et a l., 2016). By placing together young people who are at-risk, this can often limit their experience of imperious role models and their prospects to develop their own attitudes and pro-social skills (Turner Macdonald, 2011).My RecommendationIt is my recommendation that James continue his placement and that this be made long-term. When James first came into foster care the CFA assessed James for relative foster care, unfortunately James has no relatives other than his mother Jennifer in Ireland and Jennifer has very little contact with her family back home. To assure Jennifer has not been in contact with the CFA despite a number of attempts from the CFA to contact contact with her. Jennifer left Ireland without informing the CFA and it has since become clear that she is living afield in a new relationship. Jennifer has made no attempts to make contact with James in over 12 months.Children deserve to grow up in a loving, caring family, and I feel James deserves to experience this w ith the Behan family as it is not possible for James to return to his biological family. Research shows that children who experience loving relationships with foster families frequently consider them as their second family (Mason Tipper, 2008), from speaking with James it is clear that he regards the Behan family as his own family. bloody shame entertains James emotionally, James feels that he can trust Mary, this is evident as James confided in Mary about being bullied in school. International research shows that foster parents who are emotionally concerned about their foster children and who provide foulive relationships with their foster children, have been found to provide better placement stability and there is a much lower risk of the breakdown of placements (Carnochan, et al., 2013).James has been living with the Behan family for 14 months, has frequently attended the local primary school and has been enrolled into the local secondary school for September coming. I feel th at the transition from primary school to secondary school will be hard on James, however I feel that with the support of the Behan family, and familiar friends attending the same school, that this will be easier for James than being uprooted to a new foster home and starting over again in a new school unknown to him.It is my final recommendation that it is in James best interests to continue his placement with the Behan family and that this placement be made into a long-term placement.Your team leader is sceptical about the idea of supporting the travel vacation idea (on financial and wellness and refuge grounds). But she also asks you to argue for the idea, so that the issues can be clearly set out for discussion and decisionI support the idea of James going on a skiing holiday as I feel that holidaying with family is an integral part of growing up and will public assistance James in a number of ways. I have outlined below what I feel the benefits of this holiday will be to Jam es and I have supported this with academic research. I have also addressed your concerns on the financial and health and safety grounds of James attending this holiday.Benefits of Skiing family HolidayStudies show holidays can benefit carers and children in their care by tendinging to create a bond between the two (Lewis, 2001). Research on the effects of children in cares participation in holidays has also specifically explored how engaging in holidays can be a way of encouraging engagement with mainstream society and promoting the social inclusion of children in care (Quinn Stacey, 2010). Lewis (2001) found that children in care were apprised of their social exclusion and they often felt they were missing out on holidays that other children were able to experience with their families. This is supported by Hughes who advised that being able to go on holiday gives children the ability to participate in the commonly ordinarily accepted style of life in the familiarity (Hughes, 1 991).Benefits of Family Holidays for Foster ChildrenStrengthening Family bonds Holidays allow children and their foster families time to bond as a family. It is crucial for children to have healthy attachments and family holidays provide provision for this to glide by (IFAPA, 2013). If James placement is to be made long-term, it is important that he continues to wee and maintain relationships within the Behan family and a family holiday will help both James and the family to strengthen their family bonds.Normalisation Family holidays are a normal part of growing up and often children in care can feel that they are not normal and that they dont fit in with social norms. A lot of children in foster care often miss out on the normality of family life and this should not be the case (IFAPA, 2013). It is important for James to feel that he is part of the Behan family and for him to continue to have as normal a childhood as possible.Independence By including foster children in the cook ing process of a holiday, this can boost childrens independence. Foster children can learn a lot about the holiday planning process that can allow them to have some ownership, this is not only ownership within the process, but also ownership in the outcome of the holiday. Holidays are a vital part of childhood and provide many opportunities for children in care to learn valuable life skills (IFAPA, 2013).Foster children often feel that they are not important enough to include and many struggle with feelings of low self worth (IFAPA, 2013). Currently James is seek with feelings of low self worth as he has reacted badly to his mothers disappearing and has become quite withdrawn and depressed. The fact that the Behan family wish to include James on their family holiday is important to show James that he is part of their family and that he is wanted. A holiday would be beneficial to James not only to strengthen his bond with the family, but also for his own mental wellbeing.FinancialFo ster families are provided with a fostering allowance to help foster parents to meet the daily living needs to the childs, this allowance by and large covers the likes of food, clothing and education such as books, uniforms and extra-curricular activities, the allowance also essay to cover treats such as toys, games and holidays (Tusla, 2017). When it comes to holidays, these are an expensive event for any family, especially if the holiday is abroad. The Behan family have already worked together to save as much as they can for the upcoming Skiing holiday to total to the cost of bringing Sean with them. The remaining 400 that they are seeking from Tusla is call for in order to pay for the extra indemnification needed to bring Sean away, Seans passport, as well as needing a bigger apartment to get a line that Sean has his own bedroom for the period of the holiday. Many other fostering agencies cognise this and in some cases, increase the foster carers allowance over the durati on of school holidays which can often help foster carers to fund a holiday for their foster child (NFA, 2015). In some cases foster parents are entitled to an additional payment when they choose to take their foster child on a family holiday with them and I feel that this should be the case for the Behan family as the benefits for James would be immense (NFA, 2015).Health and SafetyThe Irish foster care association advises that foster children are not always covered under family insurance policies for holidaying as foster children may not be included in the definition of family or close relative. They further advise that they have raised this issue with many travel insurance companies and as a result, more and more travel insurance companies are now including foster children under the definition of family since the legalities of foster care have been brought to their attention (IFCA, 2013). I have contacted a number of travel insurance companies on behalf of the CFA to confirm whet her or not foster children are included on their policies and have compiled a list of appropriate companies for future purposes. As there is further risk associated with sports holidays, such as a skiing holiday, this has been further discussed with the Behan family to ensure that the insurance policy that they take out has a provision for a skiing holiday. The Behan family are aware of the health and safety risks of a skiing holiday with James and have discussed their concerns around this with me. Having researched health and safety and insurance of foster children on holidays, the Behan family have advised that they are satisfied that the insurance policy that they will be taking out will be sufficient for James to attend the holiday with them. refinementThe research provided proves that children can benefit from holidays abroad by experiencing new activities, husbandry and educational experiences. In her research on children in care in 2001, Lewis identified the benefits of childr en in care participating in family holidays as modify relationships, relaxation, escaping routine, social interaction, self-fulfilment and educational opportunities (Lewis, 2001). As a result I support the idea of James attending the skiing holiday with the Behan family as I believe that holidaying with family is an integral part of growing up and it will benefit James to experience this while providing him with a positive childhood experience which many foster children often miss out on.Word opine 2,997BibliographyBarry, M., 2001. Franklin Delano Roosevelt :: essays research papers

Franklin Delano RooesveltThis essay will focus on the life of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Roosevelt given much of his later years in life to help the needy. As chairwoman, Roosevelt passed as many bills, lobbing for as much congressional support as he could get to aid him in his attempts to help the unemployed, starving and low people that society had forgotten. chairwoman Roosevelt has often been c entirelyed the most beneficial president that America has had in the twentieth century, some may argue that he was the best president since Lincoln. Roosevelt truly dedicated his life to humanitarian efforts worldwide, neer stopping to take a break until his unfortunate early death. never in the history of the United States had there ever been such a terrible, long-lasting, frugal depression then the one that began just before President Roosevelt ran for his first presidential election. Thirteen million people were out of work, around one quarter of the working age population and cit ies - as tumefy as states - were losing money fast, as there were no taxes to be collected. Schools were closed because the states did not have enough money to fund them and people were stateless and starving living - and dying - on the very streets where just a few years ago America experienced its first economic boom. This sets the stage for the most triumphant presidency this country has ever seen. haughty not only over the war that was to follow but likewise over economic as well as social barriers. It would be nothing short of the truth to say that President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his staff protected this country from total economic collapse. President Roosevelts heritage traces all the way back to our great nations colonial times. beingness of Dutch and English ancestry, his ancestor, Klaes Martensen had been a Dutch immigrant, settling in newfangled York in 1645. Almost two hundred years later, on January 30, 1882, Franklin Delano was born. two of his parents h ad come from upper-class families. His father, James Roosevelt was the vice president of the Delaware and Hudson Railway Company. Franklin lived a life almost all would envy, growing up about speed of light miles north of New York City on his parents Hyde Estate. The estate, totaling about 100 farming in size overlooked the Hudson River and had a breathtaking view of the Catskill mountains. He led a good life, going to well-renound private schools then graduating, to catch Harvard and later Colombia Law School.

Fi rst, thar waur the hide, $20 then 450 pounds of meat, at 10 cents, was $45 then the grease, 14 pounds, $14 and the tallow, some $6 more and the biled marrow, $11. The geese 2700 wild-geese, at 50 cents, you sees, must be more than $1350. The honey got something over two thousand gallons of the purest, sweetest, yellowest honey you of all time did see.Humor is located throughout this story. One of my favorite parts is when Mary Anns father asked Sams horse if Sa... ... look in the mirror and asked him what he sawthat wont edzactly do. I tell you now, look good, and ax yourself ef youre the sawt of looking man that hes any skillful to be feyther-in-law to a fine, young, handsome-looking fellow like me, whats got the capital? whence he laughed out at the humor of the situation and he says, Well, Sam Snaffles, youve got me dead this time. Youre a different man from what I model you. But, Sam, youll confess, I reckon, that ef I hednt sent you off with a flea in your ear when I hed yo u up afore the looking-glass, youd never ha gone to work to git the capital.(461)This is a humorous story that tells of romance and gives us a lesson in life and full of honesty (lies). This merging of all these themes has created a wonderful story that will make me read more of William Gilmore Simms stories. I wonder what Bald Head Billy Baldly did during the Flurriday warfare?Work CitedSimms, William Gilmore. How Sharp Snaffles got his Capital and Wife. Moralirtys Fickle Mind :: social issues

Moralirtys Fickle MindIf some maven were to ask what chasteity is, what would one say? Some may think of it as integrity and decency, and others may see it as honesty and disregarddor. However, by contrasting what was moral, and immoral in the past, one can exculpately see that peoples idea of morality changes oer time. Under what circumstances that this conceptual change takes place, one may never know. What many believe is that morality and immorality together have shaped both thinking and union as a whole, as it continues to be the guiding light under many circumstances. ane example of our morality-based society proves itself through history. Slavery lasted for over four coulomb years. It is apparent that harsh treatment of this manner lasted for such a abundant period of time because this type of thinking was accepted during those times. Once it was clear that this type of treatment was wrong, many peoples attitudes (other than blacks) changed toward the treatment of Af rican Americans, so it is clear that morality played a key persona in the thinking process and the outcome of how one race henpecked another(prenominal) and what the result was. However, one must also take into identify the position that the rich and powerful have major influences over expressive style of life this is apparent even though a democratic society. The oecumenic dominating of one people or race over another still lasts to this day, as it is clear through the Palestinian and Israeli conflict. other example of how society has been shaped by morality and immorality is the fact that immorality drove pilgrims from an immoral monarchy and led them to create a moral type of governing body on their own. However, even though morality seems to mince society in a general good direction, such as taking down Hitlers army, it does not always lead to the outperform outcome in many circumstances, such as the taking over of smaller countries by the US, or reinstating the death pe nalty. Even though this government was created from a lesser, worse government, morality still is taking a some turns to make it the best government possible with amendments and laws. A capitalist society may not always benefit us, together as a people, in all the best ways. But as one can see, it is still apparent that morality, even if it is the morality of the rich and powerful, shapes our way of living.

This ability to changeshape or form is a major development in the stories of Arachne, Zeus, and Daphne.Al close to al unitary of the gods had the power of metamorphosis.     The scratch story was the one of Arachne. Arachne was a mortal, who was agreat weaver. She was the best of all the mortals. She even thought she was as penny-pinching as one of the gods. cipher was as good as the gods at anything. Charles Taylor :: essays research papers

In The Politics of Recognition Charles Taylor explores the possibility that in order to affirm individuals gibe dignity, we must acknowledge their cultures. He claims that individual identities argon socially and dialogically constructed. That is wherefore recognition is important. It shows how the study of identity and its politics is very important in the effort to understand control and somehow reduce the occurrence of meeting conflicts. The views of others may not be the last word concerning our identities, but they are the first word. If so, misrecognition can damage and can be the nates of subjugation and domination (p 25).     Charles Taylor argues that serviceman identity is constituted by cultural multitude membership, and an individuals sense of self worth is thus deeply tied to the range that others attach to his or her cultural group. As a result of this " raw understanding of the human social condition," cultural recognition can be con strued as a necessary component of individual recognition, and misrecognition can pretty be considered a form of oppression (Taylor, 1994 25-26). If cultural group chemical bond is a cause of the human social condition, liberal theory had bettor deal with cultural group rights if it is to be relevant.     Such observations form the basis of several criticisms of what Taylor terms procedural liberalism. Taylor sees this form of liberalism as rooted in a Kantian view of the self in which the essential feature of the self is autonomy procedural liberalism requires, in order to respect human dignity, a polity in which each person is able to guess and pursue his or her own vision of the good.      Taylor argues that while procedural liberalism is committed to the view that different cultures are to be tolerated and respected, it also insists that we must have sex according to a common set of political rules uniformly applied. This benevolen t of liberalism, he claims, is unable to vary basic rights in order to contain the survival requirements of minority cultures.

Asian Religions in the USA :: essays research papers

Asiatic Religions in the USAIn this essay I will discuss the many aspects and ideals of Asiatic Religions along with their impact and the affair they play within the linked States. I had a few questions that I had to try and find answers for, in order to complete the connection of Asian Religions to the United States. Why ar to a greater extent or less Americans and westerners finding Asian Religions as swell up as Asian mentation and philosophical system to be to a greater extent than gratifying than traditional western religions and philosophy? How are Asian Religions sensed and practiced here in the United States as opposed to its orient of origination? Finally, is there further growth of the Asian Religions as well as philosophy still possible here in the United States and the west? All of the answers to these questions will try and explain the place Asian Religions convey here in the United States. Why are some Americans finding Asian religions as well as Asian thou ght and philosophy to be more satisfying than traditional western religions and philosophy? One thing I mogul point my finger at is the expansion of ghostlike studies within the United States. As we discussed in class, entirely within the past ten years the idea of religious studies (including more than just the majority religions) is just now being accepted and explored. As we have become more familiar with the many distinguishable religions that are in this world, the more we will pursue and possibly practice those religions. As the west is becoming more educated to all the different religious possibilities, I feel many people are becoming more accepting of a person who searches out these different possibilities. Technology is besides a factor in the education of Asian religions. The technology we have today allows people to really explore the entire world from the tips of their fingers. creation knowledgeable that something different does exist will open your mind to differ ent avenues. You may find a western traditional religion to be right for you, but if you are educated in many of the options you might accept the idea someone else finds your western tradition not soft for them. I find many Americans searching for a higher spiritism than traditional western religions, and they can find what they are searching for in Asian religions. Alan Watts was the type of a person who refused western religions and their thinking and in his search he formed his own hybrid spirituality a between Mahayana Buddhism and Taoism, with a certain leaning towards Vedanta and Catholicism, or rather the Orthodox Church of Eastern Europe.
