The classic forms of printed material, television, and music are still great sources of media, still recently they have been joined by movies, video games and or so importantly the internet. But there are ways to protect ones children and oneself from images one might find disturbing. And children must be mend or sume bullshit. Books and literature are the oldest types of media and all throughout aliveness have undergone censorship. The Bible and The Quran were banned for hundreds of years and in many different societies, but if this proves anything it is that media will last. Our own mental home once had banned books such as Arabian Nights, Ulysses, and Canterbury Tales due to stubborn and sexual scenes. Books offer vivid images that little other media can.
